Cat Wall Shelves
PRASKA wall shelves for cats let you create a dedicated space for climbing, resting and observing the home from above, without taking up any floor space. Platforms, branches, bridges and hammocks can be freely combined and expanded over time with additional shelves, scratching elements and other PRASKA modules. Each piece is made in Poland from birch plywood and can be personalized to suit your interior, with a choice of plywood colours, fabrics and accessories. The concealed mounting system keeps all fixing elements hidden once installed. Selected platforms support up to 50 kg, making the system suitable for both smaller cats and large breeds such as Maine Coons and Ragdolls.

Why height matters to a cat
A cat watching the house from up high has the same advantage its wild ancestors had in a tree - it sees more, controls more, and feels less exposed. The floor is shared space, crossed by everyone in the household, human or animal. Height is territory a cat can claim as entirely its own.
What types of shelf does PRASKA offer?
This category brings together several product families, each playing a different role in the wall system:

Accessories and personalisation
Most platforms and branches can be equipped or refreshed without replacing the whole piece:
- Extra hammocks - add one to a shelf you already own, available in several sizes matched to specific models.
- Replaceable beds and nests - in sizes from 35 × 35 cm to 75 × 35 cm, removable for washing, colour-matched to your collection.
- Replaceable cushions - the insert for a nest or bed on its own, without replacing the whole piece.
- Replaceable felt - the scratching surface on platforms and steps, in sizes matched to specific models.
The ShelfSoft model also has side fitting holes designed for expansion - built from the outset with adding further pieces in mind, not just as a single shelf.
How to build a system from shelves
A single shelf is a point. A system is a route. Every PRASKA piece connects with the rest of the range:
- Shelf sets - a ready-made configuration, a good starting point if you're building a system from scratch.
- Trees - a multi-level structure you can add individual shelves to as waypoints.
- Bridges and hammocks - connect two shelves, or a shelf and a tree, into one continuous route.
- You can expand the configuration whenever you like - there's no need to design the whole wall at once.
Installation and load capacity
Every shelf holds up to 50 kg, so the structure absorbs a large cat's jump without flexing. Fitting on a concrete or brick wall needs standard wall plugs; on plasterboard, cavity fixings spread the load over a wider area. A hidden fixing system with no visible hardware means the finished shelf looks like a piece of interior design, not an add-on accessory.
What's the difference between a platform and a branch?
A platform has a regular, geometric shape (oval, rectangle). A branch has an irregular, organic silhouette that echoes a tree. Both serve the same purpose - a resting or lookout point - and differ mainly in style.
What bed and nest sizes fit the shelves?
The most common sizes are 35×35 cm, 50×35 cm, 60×32 cm and 75×35 cm, matched to specific platform and branch models. The accessories section shows which bed fits which model.
Can I expand the system with more pieces later?
Yes. All PRASKA pieces connect with each other, so you can start with a single platform and add more shelves, a bridge, or a tree over time. The ShelfSoft model also has dedicated fitting holes for expansion.
Which shelves work well for a large cat, like a Maine Coon?
All PRASKA platforms hold up to 50 kg, so load capacity isn't the limiting factor. For large breeds, it's really about the resting surface - the larger models in the BRANCH series and the ready-made sets give more room than the smallest STEP-type platforms.
Can the fabric on a shelf be replaced?
Yes - beds, nests and cushions are all removable, so you can wash them or swap the colour without replacing the whole shelf.
