It works as a kittening box for breeders, but also as a place for cats that are convalescing, resting after procedures or simply looking for a quiet space of their own. Thick, stable walls and the filling create a favourable microclimate inside the cave, helping to keep it warm and at a stable temperature, which matters during recovery and for the kittens.

Adjustable flaps

The cave has two roll-up flaps that let you adjust how much the interior is covered or open:

The top flap creates a snug, sheltered place, made for a queen with her litter or a cat in recovery.
The bottom flap controls access to the interior and helps the kittens come out onto the terrace step by step.
The flaps can be rolled up, closed or left partly open, as needed.

The mat has sewn-in loops, and inside the kittening box there are strong ties (five in total). Thread the ties through the loops and tie them, and the mat stays firmly in place. This matters because just before giving birth a queen often digs intensively and “arranges” her spot. Thanks to the ties, the mat does not shift or turn, and the inside of the box stays clean and ready for the little ones.

Yes. Many PRASKA products are designed specifically with large cat breeds in mind, including the Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Norwegian Forest Cat, Siberian, and British Shorthair. Our platforms, shelves, towers, and beds have larger surfaces, sturdy construction, and durable materials. This lets a large cat rest, turn, stretch, and use the piece comfortably without feeling cramped.

How do I choose the right product for a large cat?

Most PRASKA products are designed with large cats in mind, such as the Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Norwegian Forest Cat, or Siberian. All our plywood furniture, shelves, platforms, trees, and towers are sturdy and built for everyday use by large cats. When choosing a product, the main things to consider are your cat's weight and size. A cat weighing up to 10 kg will be comfortable on any PRASKA tree, shelf, or platform. For beds, dens, and textile products, we recommend the larger variants. For cats over 6 kg, models with a diameter of 50 cm or more work best. Smaller sizes, such as 40 cm or 45 cm, may be too snug for large breeds. Our product descriptions always include dimensions and the recommended use for each model.
