QUEEN PREMIUM WHELPING BOX FOR CATS

As an experienced cat breeder, I designed the QUEEN PREMIUM Whelping Box in response to the real needs of breeders and the lack of a comparable product on the market. It is a functional and modern solution designed for the mother and her kittens from the very first moments of life.

HOW TO PERSONALISE YOUR WHELPING BOX – STEP BY STEP

1. Choose the plywood colour

This determines the colour of the entire whelping box. Choose the option that best suits your cattery and interior.

2. Choose the fabric for the top bed

Choose a fabric from our collection. All fabrics are carefully selected for their high quality and designed to coordinate beautifully with our plywood colours.

PERSONALISATION FOR CATTERIES

There are two personalisation options:

Cattery name

Our original engraved cat motifs remain on the modular panel, and your cattery name is engraved above them.

Cattery logo

Our cat motifs are replaced with your cattery logo. Please send your logo file to our email address.

Please choose one option: cattery name or cattery logo.

KEY FEATURES

Practical storage shelf

When the top lid is opened, it becomes a convenient shelf, ideal for keeping scales, records, hygiene supplies and other essentials close at hand.

Easy access to the mother and kittens

The upper front panel can be opened for quick and easy access during birth and while caring for the litter. The panel can be rested against the lid or removed completely.

Functional lower module

When closed, the lower module creates an enclosed space for the mother and her kittens. Once opened, it gives the kittens additional space for their first steps and exploration.

Easy movement and first scratching surface

The self-adhesive felt provides a suitable surface for kittens as they begin to move around and can also serve as their first scratching surface. It can be easily replaced when needed.

Opening for an electric heating pad

A dedicated opening in the rear panel allows the cable of an electric heating pad to be routed outside the whelping box, helping to maintain a stable temperature inside.

Attachment points for toys

Built-in attachment points allow toys to be suspended inside the whelping box, encouraging kittens to explore and play as they grow.

Lightweight and warm

The plywood construction is lightweight while helping to retain warmth inside the whelping box.

LIGHTING

The light has been specially designed with the mother and kittens in mind.

A separate LED module illuminates the entire interior of the whelping box.
All cables are completely inaccessible to the kittens.
A switch integrated into the strip allows the light to be operated without unplugging it.
The light intensity can be adjusted from soft illumination to bright light.
The LED module can be easily removed using a sliding mechanism.

ADDITIONAL PROTECTION

PLEXIGLASS tray

A removable insert with handles provides additional protection inside the whelping box.

It can be easily removed and washed under running water.

ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY

Thanks to the modular system, the whelping box can be assembled and disassembled quickly and entirely by hand.

No screws, nails or hinges are required.

Once disassembled, the product takes up very little storage space.

The set includes an elegant storage bag with a zip closure and handles, allowing the whelping box to remain clean and protected until the next litter.

PLYWOOD

The modules are made from high-quality hardwood plywood and finished by hand.

Each element is hand-sanded and coated three times with an odourless, clear matt varnish.

The plywood is durable, lightweight and resistant to bending and crushing while helping to retain warmth inside the whelping box.

Natural grain patterns, knots and variations in colour are characteristic features of plywood and make each product unique.

The modular construction provides easy access to every part of the whelping box for thorough cleaning.

Each module can be cleaned with warm water and wiped dry.

Do not use chlorine-based cleaning products.

    Are PRASKA products suitable for large cats, such as Maine Coon or Ragdoll?

    Yes. Many PRASKA products are designed specifically with large cat breeds in mind, including the Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Norwegian Forest Cat, Siberian, and British Shorthair. Our platforms, shelves, towers, and beds have larger surfaces, sturdy construction, and durable materials. This lets a large cat rest, turn, stretch, and use the piece comfortably without feeling cramped.

    How do I choose the right product for a large cat?

    Most PRASKA products are designed with large cats in mind, such as the Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Norwegian Forest Cat, or Siberian. All our plywood furniture, shelves, platforms, trees, and towers are sturdy and built for everyday use by large cats. When choosing a product, the main things to consider are your cat's weight and size. A cat weighing up to 10 kg will be comfortable on any PRASKA tree, shelf, or platform. For beds, dens, and textile products, we recommend the larger variants. For cats over 6 kg, models with a diameter of 50 cm or more work best. Smaller sizes, such as 40 cm or 45 cm, may be too snug for large breeds. Our product descriptions always include dimensions and the recommended use for each model. Many of these solutions exist because they were missing from the market, or didn't meet the day-to-day needs of working with cats.
