Freestanding cat scratching post or a tower? Why I created the PRASKA Labyrinth Towers
If I were to design an ordinary cat scratching post, it would probably look like many models available on the market.
I wanted to create something completely different.
My goal was to design a place that allows a cat to climb, play, observe the world, rest, and fulfill its natural needs every day.
This is how the proprietary, registered collection of PRASKA Labyrinth Towers was created.
It is not just a scratching post. It is a space designed with feline nature in mind.
One structure. Many functions.
Each PRASKA Labyrinth Tower combines several functions simultaneously: a scratching post, a playground, a labyrinth, a hideout, an observation point, and a resting place.
The cat can climb between levels, rest in a hammock, observe the house from above, or hide inside the tower.
This is exactly why many cats use it throughout the day, performing various natural activities.
A labyrinth that stimulates curiosity
Cats love to discover new passageways. To peek into every nook and cranny. To squeeze between successive levels.
That is why inside the tower I designed a safe labyrinth with large openings. They are suitably adapted also for large breeds, such as the Maine Coon.
This is a conscious decision. I always put the cat's safety first.
The ramp serves two functions
The ramp is not only for scratching.
It is also a convenient path leading to the inside of the tower. Double-sided felt encourages cats to climb, stretch, and sharpen their claws in a natural position. At the same time, it provides very good grip during everyday use.
Everyday play
In the bottom module, I placed a toy with balls.
It is a simple element that develops motor coordination and encourages the cat to engage in independent activity. For many cats, it becomes their favorite part of the entire structure.
Stability matters
When designing the tower, I paid huge attention to stability.
The cat should be able to freely jump up, climb, and rest without the fear that the structure will wobble or make disturbing sounds.
It is precisely stability that makes the cat feel confident and willingly return to its place.
Several sizes. One idea.
PRASKA Labyrinth Towers are available in several sizes and configurations.
Regardless of the model, their task remains the same. To create a space for the cat for climbing, playing, observation, and resting.
Designed from experience
Every new model first goes to my cattery. Then it is tested by pedigreed cat breeders for many weeks.
We observe how cats use each level, which places they choose most often, and what else can be improved. Only after implementing all corrections does the product go on sale.
Because at PRASKA, I do not design products solely to look good. I design them so that the cat wants to use them every day.
In conclusion…
I didn't want to create just another scratching post.
I wanted to design a place where the cat could do what it likes most. Climb. Rest. Observe. Play. And simply be a cat.
Every PRASKA product is created with one simple thought – first the cat's needs, then the design. That is why our Labyrinth Towers are something more than a scratching post. They are a place the cat wants to return to every day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Labyrinth Tower work well for large cats?
Yes. The structure was designed also with large breeds in mind, such as the Maine Coon. The size of the openings and the stability of the entire structure enable comfortable and safe use of the tower.
Will the Labyrinth Tower replace a traditional scratching post?
The tower combines several functions simultaneously. It allows the cat to scratch, climb, rest, observe its surroundings, and play, which is why for many cats it becomes the central place for everyday activity.
Why do cats like multi-level structures?
Cats naturally choose height. They like to observe their surroundings, climb, and discover new places. Multi-level structures allow them to fulfill these needs every day.
