21.7" Kitten Playpen Panels

The 21.7 in (55 cm) panel is the shorter of PRASKA's two playpen heights, sized for the youngest kittens who are only just learning to move around and don't yet jump or climb. You choose your own combination of modular panels - we recommend no fewer than 6, for enough space and a stable structure.

Why choose the 21.7 in (55 cm) height

At 21.7 in (55 cm), a panel is tall enough to contain a young litter but still easy to see and reach into - useful when you're checking on kittens several times a day, or lifting them in and out for weighing and handling. It suits kittens up to around 8 weeks old, before they start jumping and climbing in earnest.

Safety first

We take the safety of your kittens seriously, which is why every detail of our panels is carefully considered. The panels are finished with a certified lacquer safe for children, giving lasting protection. Every opening is milled so that kittens can't get a paw or their head stuck in it, or use it to climb up and over. That means you can be confident your kittens are safe and protected at all times.

Solid and built to last

Made from high-quality plywood, about 0.5 in (12 mm) thick - a guarantee of strength and durability. Careful construction and precise detailing mean the playpen will serve you for years.

Building your full playpen

These panels are the building blocks for the full PRASKA playpen system - see the complete range, including panel types (solid, slatted, plexiglass, gate, and personalized with your cattery's logo) and how to combine them with a queening box, in kitten playpens.

How many panels do I need?

A minimum of 6 panels gives you enough space and a stable structure for one litter. You can add more as your litter grows or needs more room.

Which age of kitten suits the 21.7 in (55 cm) height?

It works well up to around 8 weeks old, while kittens are still finding their balance and aren't yet jumping or climbing with confidence. For older, more active kittens, the 29.5 in (75 cm) panels give more room to grow into.

Does this height work for large breeds?

For the youngest kittens of any breed, yes. Once a litter starts jumping and climbing, or for large breeds such as Maine Coon or Ragdoll, the 29.5 in (75 cm) panels give more headroom.
