Cat Sensory Mats & Toys
A cat sensory mat is a round, quilted surface with sewn-on pieces that differ in texture and in sound. The cat tracks on it, pulls, bites and rests.
Alongside the mats sit covers for ARENA, waterproof mats, nests, bed sets, felt, and sensory and hanging toys. These are playground accessories, bought on their own, without replacing the whole piece of furniture. We sew them in our workshop in Czechowice-Dziedzice, southern Poland, and most pieces are made after your order comes in.

This category gathers the parts and additions for furniture a cat already has.

What a sensory mat actually is
The pieces on the mat are sewn on rather than glued, and each does something different. Rustling boughs, sewn-on grasses, a reed with cattails, ribbons finished with sleeves, a leaf with a ball inside, a bird filled with valerian and buckwheat husk, and a little jug with cotton strings.
There is a loop on the mat. You tie the toy of your choice to it and change the layout once the cat stops checking the same spot.
23.6 in (60 cm) across. The fabric resists pilling and abrasion, the filling is a thick silicone wadding made specially for PRASKA, and the composition is 100% polyester. The mat lies on the floor on its own, or on the ARENA platform.
Covers and mats for ARENA
The cover goes on and comes off in one movement: with it, ARENA is a closed cave; without it, an open play zone. The covers come in two sizes, one for ARENA and one for ARENA XXL.
MATA DUO and MATA ANANAS are plain fur mats for the base. The waterproof mat is double-sided: soft fur on one face, a waterproof fabric on the other, which protects the base from damp and soiling. Both layers are quilted, 25.6 in (65 cm) across, 0.6 in (1.5 cm) thick, 100% polyester.
Sensory and hanging toys
BIMBAM measures 2.8 × 3.1 in (7 × 8 cm) and hangs on a 17.7 in (45 cm) cord. Inside sits a ball that sounds at every touch, and the outside is a fur that does not fray. The ribbon is strong, so the toy stays where you tie it.
Hanging toys go on the loops of the mats, on the openings in the scratchers, and on the structures of our furniture. It is worth checking toys regularly and replacing them once they wear.
Washing and care
Mats, covers, nests and beds are machine washable at 86 °F (30 °C) or below, spin up to 800 rpm. No tumble drying and no ironing. Everything fits into a household machine, and the waterproof mat dries quickly on top of that.
Does a sensory mat work without ARENA?
Yes. The mat is 23.6 in (60 cm) across and lies on the floor on its own just as well as on the ARENA platform. If you are buying it as an addition to ARENA, check only whether you need the standard or the XXL size.
Which mat should I choose for the base of ARENA?
For resting alone, MATA DUO or MATA ANANAS, plain and in fur. Where hygiene matters, the waterproof mat: 25.6 in (65 cm) across, 0.6 in (1.5 cm) thick, soft fur on one face and a waterproof fabric on the other. If ARENA is to be a play zone, take a sensory mat 23.6 in (60 cm) across.
What is inside the sensory toys?
BIMBAM holds a ball that makes a sound, and its outside is fur. The bird on the sensory mat is filled with valerian and buckwheat husk. Ribbons are finished with sleeves and small bells, and the little jug carries cotton strings to pull.
What temperature does the mat wash at?
At 86 °F (30 °C) or below, spin up to 800 rpm, no tumble drying and no ironing. The mat fits into a household machine easily and holds its shape and color after many washes.
Will these mats and toys fit another maker's furniture?
The dimensions and the fixing method are matched to PRASKA models: mats and covers to ARENA, felt to specific scratchers, the bed set to the CHMURKA lounger. They will not usually fit a structure from another brand. The exception is the hanging toys, which go anywhere there is a loop or an opening.
