How are PRASKA furniture and beds made? From an idea to a finished product

Every piece of furniture and every PRASKA bed goes through a long journey before it goes on sale. It starts with observing cats, then a design is created, a prototype, weeks of testing in catteries, and further corrections. Only then is the product added to our offer.

Where do ideas for PRASKA products come from?

I very often hear the question: "Where do ideas for your products come from?"

The answer is always the same.

Not from interior design catalogs. Not from current trends. And certainly not from ready-made designs.

Every PRASKA product begins with... a cat.

Everything begins with observation

For over 14 years, I have been breeding pedigreed cats.

Every day I observe where they sleep, how they rest, how they climb, where they like to hide, and how they resolve conflicts among themselves.

Cats are exactly my greatest inspiration. I do not design what appeals to people. I design what cats truly want to use.

The first sketch is just the beginning

When an idea appears, I prepare the first product design. Already at this stage, I ask myself many questions.

• Will the cat have enough space?
• Will the structure be stable?
• Will a Maine Coon comfortably lie down on it?
• Will the cat have the opportunity to observe?
• Will it be able to freely climb up and down?

If the answer to any of these questions is "no", I return to the design.

The first prototype is created

Only then do we make the first copy. But it is not yet a finished product. It is just the beginning of the whole process.

The most important stage – testing

This is a stage that most customers never see.

We send finished prototypes to pedigreed cat catteries, including Maine Coons. There, for a few weeks, and often even for a month or two, the products are intensively used by cats.

Breeders provide us with their feedback. We check: whether the cat eagerly uses the product, whether it returns to it every day, whether the dimensions are appropriate, whether the structure remains stable, and whether it is worth introducing additional changes.

It is precisely at this stage that the most corrections are made.

We refine every detail

Very often, the first design is not the final design.

We change dimensions. We improve proportions. We modify the construction. We look for better solutions.

Not because something was wrong. But because you can always do something even better.

Only then does the product go on sale

When we are certain that the product meets our expectations and the expectations of breeders, only then does it appear in the store.

That is why many people say that PRASKA products are refined. Because before they reach the cat's caregiver, they are tested by the most demanding testers. By cats.

We make every product to order

We do not produce furniture or beds for stock. Every product is created only after an order is placed.

The caregiver chooses the plywood color, fabric, fur, and finish themselves. Thanks to this, they receive a product made specifically for their cat, rather than a random piece of furniture taken off a warehouse shelf.

I don't want to create more. I want to create better.

From the beginning of PRASKA's existence, I have been guided by one principle. I am not interested in producing thousands of identical pieces of furniture.

I am interested in creating products that will serve cats for many years.

That is why every new design goes through exactly the same path. From observing a cat... through design, prototype, and tests... to a finished product.
