Wall-Mounted Cat Trees
A wall-mounted cat tree is a scratching post shaped like a tree, fixed straight to the wall with no floor contact at all. Every PRASKA tree is CNC-cut from 0.6 in (15 mm) birch plywood, hand-sanded, and finished to your choice of plywood color and fabric collection. Models range from the compact Hazel to the full-size Willow, each with its own size, branch count, and mounting side.

PRASKA wall-mounted cat trees: models, materials, personalization and installation
Which wall-mounted cat tree models does PRASKA make?
Each model is named after a tree species. The trees differ in shape, size, branch layout and number of platforms, so you can choose a structure that suits the space you have and your cats' needs.
| Model | Size | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Hazel | Compact | Smaller spaces, a single spot for climbing and resting |
| Birch | Medium | Living rooms and bedrooms, as a scratcher and lookout |
| Maple | Medium, with an optional hollow | Cats that like sheltered resting places |
| Oak | Large, multi-level | Spaces for several cats, including large breeds |
| Oak 2 | Large, with a different silhouette from Oak | An extensive climbing space with a different branch layout |
| Willow | Large, extensive | A multi-level wall system for one or more cats |
The PRASKA collection also includes three ARTE cat trees: Magnolia, Plane Tree and Acacia. They are made of separate elements (a trunk and branches) that you can arrange and position yourself, adapting the shape of the whole tree to the space you have.
What is a PRASKA wall-mounted cat tree made of?
Every PRASKA tree has a modular structure made of birch plywood. Its elements form a stable system of branches and platforms that you can add to with extra accessories.
- Structure and branches: 0.6 in (15 mm) birch plywood, precision-cut on a CNC machine. Well-designed joints and mounting hardware make the structure rigid and durable in everyday use.
- Plywood finish: lacquer or paint, depending on the color option you choose.
- Beds on the branches: made of upholstery fabrics from the PRASKA collections. Removable and machine washable. Available sizes: 13.8 × 13.8 in (35 × 35 cm), 19.7 × 13.8 in (50 × 35 cm) and 29.5 × 13.8 in (75 × 35 cm).
- Scratching surfaces: replaceable self-adhesive felt and hard-wearing sisal rope for intensive scratching.
- Installation: every model comes with installation instructions showing how to mount the structure to the wall correctly.
Individual parts such as beds and felt can be replaced without buying a new tree.
How to choose a tree for your home and your cat's needs?
When choosing a model, consider the size of the wall available, the size of your cat and how it uses vertical space.
Available space
Each PRASKA model has specific dimensions, which you will find on its product page. Before buying, check both the width and the height of the wall, and leave enough room for your cat to get onto the platforms and move between them freely.
The trees can be installed as a single structure or combined with additional PRASKA shelves and wall elements.
Your cat's weight and size
All PRASKA wall-mounted cat trees are also suitable for large breeds, such as the Maine Coon, Ragdoll or Norwegian Forest Cat.
Each platform on the tree holds up to 110 lbs (50 kg), provided it is installed correctly on a suitable wall.
When choosing a tree for a large cat, look above all at the size of the resting surfaces, the spacing of the platforms and how easily your cat can move between levels.
How to expand a tree into a wall system?
Every PRASKA tree can be combined with other elements from our collection to create an extensive space for climbing, scratching, watching and resting.
You can add:
- Wall shelves: extra resting places and intermediate points that make it easier to move between levels.
- Decorative branches: elements inspired by natural branches that you can combine with the trees.
- Bridges and hammocks: connect elements that are further apart and add extra places to lie down.
- Ceiling shelves: let you use the space under the ceiling and add more levels to the system.
- Shelf sets: ready-made arrangements of several elements that complement the tree.
You can plan the expansion when you buy the tree or add more elements to the existing structure later.
How is a cat tree installed to the wall?
Correct installation is essential for the stability of the whole structure. We recommend that it is done by someone experienced in installing wall-mounted elements who can choose the right mounting hardware for the type of wall.
- Concrete and brick walls: require suitably chosen wall anchors and mounting hardware, matched to the type of wall and the expected load.
- Drywall: require an individual assessment of the wall structure and a suitable fixing system. In some cases the wall may need extra reinforcement or fixing to structural elements.
- Installation instructions: every model comes with instructions showing how to assemble the elements and fix them correctly.
A correctly installed tree forms a rigid, stable structure. The right mounting hardware and a suitable wall allow the tree to be used by large cats too, including cats weighing over 22 lbs (10 kg).
Plywood color and fabric personalization
Every PRASKA tree can be matched to your interior by choosing from the available finishes.
- Plywood color: natural birch plywood or a color finish from the current PRASKA range.
- Fabrics for the beds: chosen from the PRASKA upholstery fabric collections, which include different colors, textures and patterns.
Choosing the finish lets you match the tree to other furniture and accessories in the room.
If you already have PRASKA shelves, beds or cat caves, you can choose your new tree in a matching color scheme.
Frequently asked questions
How is a wall-mounted cat tree different from an ordinary wall scratcher?
A PRASKA wall-mounted cat tree is a structure inspired by the natural shape of a tree, with branches, resting platforms and scratching surfaces.
Its levels let your cat climb, watch its surroundings and rest at different heights. The tree can also be combined with other PRASKA wall elements.
What kind of wall can the tree be installed to?
The trees can be installed to suitably prepared concrete and masonry walls, using mounting hardware chosen for the type of wall.
For drywall, the structure and load-bearing capacity of the wall must be assessed. Installation may require extra reinforcement.
Because of the loads created when a cat jumps and moves around, we recommend having the tree installed by someone with the right experience.
Can the tree hold a large cat?
Yes. All PRASKA wall-mounted cat trees are suitable for large breeds, such as the Maine Coon, Ragdoll or Norwegian Forest Cat. Each platform holds up to 110 lbs (50 kg), provided the tree is installed correctly on a suitable wall.
Can the beds that come with the tree be washed?
Yes. The beds are removable and machine washable, following the care instructions for the fabrics used.
Can worn felt or a bed be replaced?
Yes. The self-adhesive felt and the beds are replaceable parts, so you can replace them without buying a new tree.
