The frame is built from high-quality hardwood plywood, hand-sanded and painted three times. This gives it lasting durability, moisture resistance, and a beautiful look for years. To keep the shelf clean, just wipe it with warm water. Mild, chlorine-free wood care products can also be used.

We paint the plywood with high-quality paints that don't build up into a thick, covering layer. This keeps the wood's natural grain always visible. It's a deliberate choice, we favor authenticity and the beauty of the material over a perfectly even, “plastic-looking” surface.

In practice, this means:

• the wood's grain, texture and gentle marks stay visible
• with lighter colors, darker patches of wood may show through
• every piece of plywood has a unique grain and shade

Yes. Many PRASKA products are designed specifically with large cat breeds in mind, such as Maine Coons, Ragdolls, Norwegian Forest Cats, Siberian Cats, and British Shorthairs. Our platforms, shelves, towers, and beds feature suitably larger surface areas, stable constructions, and durable materials. This ensures that a large cat can comfortably rest, turn around, stretch, and use the furniture without feeling restricted.

How do I choose the right product variant for a large cat?

Most PRASKA products are designed with large cats in mind, such as Maine Coons, Ragdolls, Norwegian Forest Cats, or Siberian Cats. All of our plywood furniture, shelves, platforms, cat trees, and towers are stable and adapted for everyday use by large cats. When choosing a product, you should primarily consider your cat's weight and size. A cat weighing up to 10 kg will feel comfortable on all PRASKA cat trees, shelves, and platforms. For beds, cat houses, and textile products, we recommend choosing larger variants. For cats weighing over 6 kg, it is best to choose models with a diameter of 50 cm or more. Smaller sizes, such as 40 cm or 45 cm, may prove too tight for large breeds. In our product descriptions, we always provide information about the dimensions and the recommended use for each model.
