Cat Shelf Beds & Hammocks
Cat shelf beds and hammocks: beds sewn for particular shelves, hammocks, a trough insert and self-adhesive felt. The soft parts you lay on a shelf or hang below it.
There is not a single standalone shelf in this category. Only the parts that go on them, plus four wall mounted scratching posts. Most pieces are made after your order comes in, in our workshop in Czechowice-Dziedzice, southern Poland.

Cat shelf bed sizes
A bed is chosen by the name of the shelf or by its measurement. Measure the surface it has to lie on.
- WALLSLEEP - bed of 23.6 × 11.8 in (60 × 30 cm).
- OVALREST - bed of 19.7 × 13.8 in (50 × 35 cm).
- OVALSLEEP and the SHELF shelves - bed of 29.5 × 13.8 in (75 × 35 cm).
- CIRCLE - a bed for a cat ceiling shelf, sewn for that model.
- Sizes not tied to a model - 13.8 × 13.8 in (35 × 35 cm), 19.7 × 9.8 in (50 × 25 cm), 19.7 × 13.8 in (50 × 35 cm), 23.6 × 13.8 in (60 × 35 cm) and 29.5 × 13.8 in (75 × 35 cm).
There are no metal hooks. Each bed has sewn-in ties of non-fraying fabric, which you thread through the openings in the shelf.
Hammocks and the CONNECT hammock
A hammock hangs from the side cut-outs of a shelf. The loops go straight onto the cut-outs, with no extra mounting hardware.
The CONNECT hammock measures 27.6 × 15 in (70 × 38 cm) and joins two shelves into one crossing. The product page gives the layouts SHELF - CONNECT - SHELF, SHELF - CONNECT - WALLSLEEP, OVALSLEEP - CONNECT - OVALREST and SHELFSOFT - CONNECT - OVALREST. Any piece with side cut-outs can be joined to it.
Separate hammocks are made for the SHELFSOFT shelf, for WALLSLEEP, for GAŁĄŹ G, for the SHELF shelves, and for the SOLO and STOKROTKA SOLO shelves in 23.6 × 12.6 in (60 × 32 cm) and 27.6 × 13.8 in (70 × 35 cm).
The trough insert for WALLSLEEP
The trough insert measures 23.6 × 11.8 × 4.7 in (60 × 30 × 12 cm). The fabric stands above the edge of the shelf, so the cat lies in a hollow rather than on a flat surface.
The filling and the fixing method are the same as in the beds: silicone wadding inside, sewn-in ties of non-fraying fabric.
Self-adhesive felt
Felt is the scratching surface on steps and shelves. It wears down, which is why it is replaceable.
Two sizes sit here: 7.9 × 9.1 in (20 × 23 cm) for the STEP step and 29.5 × 13.8 in (75 × 35 cm) for the OVALSLEEP shelf. Peel the worn piece off and stick the new one in the same place, no tools needed.
The felt is a hard-wearing material, close to industrial felt, and it stands up to heavy scratching and daily use.
Fabric, filling and washing
The fabric resists abrasion and pilling, the filling is a silicone wadding made specially for PRASKA, and the composition is 100% polyester.
Machine washable at 86 °F (30 °C) or below, spin up to 800 rpm. Do not tumble dry, do not iron. The textiles dry quickly. Clean the felt gently, without soaking it.
Does this category hold any shelves?
No. It holds only the soft parts for shelves, that is beds, hammocks, a trough insert and felt, plus four PIEŃ and LIŚĆ wall scratching posts that also sit in the wall scratcher category. The wall and ceiling shelves themselves are in the shelf categories.
